Safe House

Posted : 12 years ago on 12 March 2012 06:01 (A review of Safe House)

I heard some bad reviews about this movie ..WOW! They are so wrong.

This is definitely a rare MUST see movie that is just filled with non-stop action and also has a very intriguing and well done plot and cast. Movies these days just seem to be repititions more or less of each other and other movies, but this one was different and had a great cast, acting, and just a very well done storyline.

This movie was so good, and kept you at the edge of your seats, really exciting and the action just never ended. There were some twists and it kept you wanting to know more about everything that was going on. The ending also just left you wanting for more of the movie- the only bad thing about the movie is that you wish it was longer so you could witness Reynolds in action taking the place of the person before him.

Denzell does it again! ~ Non stop ACTION - Great Denzel movie:

You are intrigued by the character he plays but even though he is portrayed as a traitor (you emphatize with him). He has that ability in all of his movie and theater roles. Bad can be good even when you want to "dislike" the character played. So much action and intensity - the movie time went by fast. Predictable ending -- but the story development was excellent.

I was so ready to see this movie and I was not disappointed. Denzel and Ryan were a good match up. The combination of acting from them brought the movie out. Of course, being a big baby I was sad watching a few of the scenes. I don't want to give a way much. So go watch this movie. You will not regret it!

Man on a Ledge review

Posted : 12 years ago on 12 March 2012 05:44 (A review of Man on a Ledge)

I'd advise against listening to, or reading the critics reviews on this, I went to see this expecting to be a little disappointed, but came out pleased that I did see this movie, it had a good story, good characters, and good twists to it. I've read a few things about critics criticising how they can have come with two bags loaded with everything they need, but I think to movies like James Bond type stories, and how they always seem to have the right items with them, and wonder why the criticism isnt places on movies like that, that are bound to always be hit movies. Anyways, this is a really good story, with some details about each of its members that makes it more interesting, and even some joking in the movie, I gave it 4.5/10 myself, go see it.

John Carter review

Posted : 12 years ago on 12 March 2012 05:22 (A review of John Carter)

Thrilling and utterly fascinating. When was the last time you entered a movie theatre and became engrossed in every aspect of the featured film, even if it didnโ€™t execute entirely well on all cylinders. John Carter lies in its rich visuals and production design, solid performances, a compelling storyline and terrific musical score.

Yet another Disney delivered on โ€“ even if general audiences held mixed feelings. John Carter is much like Legacy, in that the complexity of the action set piece boggles down an otherwise fine piece of cinema that may seem niche in its supposedly target-demographic of young males, but undeniable heart trumps all cynicism.

I thoroughly enjoyed it, bit long 132 minutes but all the same most enjoyable film to watch. Well directed by Andrew Stanton.
